The HMI of General Motors’s Cadillac concept car, the Elmiraj. According to the design studio GMunk, the goal was to create an experience that utilised a multitude of future driving technologies while still maintaining the elegance and luxury of the Cadillac brand.

Why we like it

Seeing this HMI felt like a turning point in the automotive design space – proof that a digital dashboard could be practical, beautiful and innovative, and that skeuomorphic imitations of physical hardware simply would not cut the mustard.
