Holm Bank had an evolving target audience who were no longer looking for in-branch banking and structured products, but a fast, frictionless and flexible way to access quick credit on their terms. Engaged to rapidly remodel Holm’s consumer credit offering, we got to work creating a customer-first digital banking experience that would allow people to easily and intuitively obtain finance for the things that mattered most to them.

Designing and delivering a next-generation consumer finance application

Our Approach

We approached the brief with a structured discovery, design and delivery program that threaded together consulting, insight gathering, product strategy and design delivery. 

Starting with a discovery sprint, our design team immersed themselves into the world of the target audience, developing detailed profiles and drawing insight into the key markets. This helped us to determine and define the proposition, specification and requirements. We then created a mapped out customer journey to deliver the desired loan experience transformation.

The next step was the ideation stage, which involved creating the digital brand language and conceptualising the look and feel, before moving on to technical architecture, rapid wireframing and prototype creation ready for user testing.

After validating our design solution we applied the UI language to the assembled screens and integrated these into a full production prototype for further task-based user-testing. With positive feedback to the functional and feature areas, we created a componentized design library ready for deployment and Holm Bank’s new digital credit offering was ready for handover.
