MBUX is a combined vehicle assistant, controlled via voice, touchscreen, or buttons. The “Linguatronic” voice control boasts an understanding of a wide variety of accents, and lets the driver control GPS, phone calls, music selection and more across the infotainment unit.
Why we like it
MBUX showcases the importance of a strong voice control system in a vehicle. With the driver free to keep their hands on the wheel, it’s an entirely safer and more intuitive control method than standard buttons traditionally found on a car dashboard. Furthermore, rather than only responding to certain commands in a robotic fashion, MBUX will understand indirect commands – for example if the driver says “I feel cold” it will adjust the temperature.
